In September Stenson and I went out to Virginia for Hannah's wedding. She was beautiful and it was so fun to see my high school friends again. I sang at her wedding and it was such a beautiful ceremony.
My other best friend Heidi asked Stenson and I to be Godparents of their baby (she's pregnant now). It was such an honor.
We went to Monticello while we were there. I was excited for Stenson to finally go to see it. I grew up by Montic(h)ello (the correct way to say it) and he grew up in Monticello (pronounced like an "S"--wrong).
We went to parts of all 3 wards in Charlottesville so that we could see everyone. Stenson was excited to see the 2nd ward people since that was the ward he was in when he served his mission there. It was fun to go back and see the hallway where I first saw Stenson. It was nice to see a lot of familiar faces but so much has changed. A lot of people didn't know that my dad had died either and that was difficult to talk about. It was hard to sit there where we always sat growing up and look up at the stand and not see my dad there. It was so habitual for me to see him there. We stayed at Corbin Snow's house that night and had a fun time.
We spent Labor Day at Virginia Beach. It was a beautiful day and it was so relaxing. Plus, we stayed at the Best Western my dad used to take me to growing up. It meant a lot to me.

That looks like a fun trip. Aside from a few sad moments of missing your dad. But what fun to be able to take Stenson back there as your husband, not the "elder"!!
That's so cool about the hallway where you first saw Stenson. And that you remembered it. He really made an impression, didn't he? How fun to be able to take Stenson back there, it looks like it was a great trip.
